PivotSC Launches New Office Space in Greenville

Mayor Knox White, City of Greenville, and Robert Fields, PivotSC, LLC CEO, officially cut the ribbon to celebrate Pivot’s new office and design laboratory on Friday, August 24. After touring the office and design lab Mayor White described it as, “very impressive and (a) great addition to Greenville.”

The new space at 50 S. Richardson Street consolidated the PivotSC team from various locations. Eight companies are now onsite with room for more. Robert Fields emphasized the importance of the new larger space. “This space allows us to better perform one of our missions, which is guidance and mentoring. As a privately funded startup incubator, we take our mentorship role very seriously. We don’t simply give space and equipment to a young entrepreneur without any follow up. We are actively working with each company in order to ensure a greater probability of success.”

Representatives from Oracle flew in for the event from Boston, Mass, since PivotSC is one of their newest members of the Scaleup Ecosystem. Oracle executives first became aware of Greenville’s entrepreneurial atmosphere from the recent Bloomberg article about economic development in Greenville.

The transformed space was previously used as an office for a local architect group.
