Position/Organization Overview:

Do you want to make an impact as a finance leader for the Oracle Communications Global Business Unit team?

The CGBU finance team ensures that the CGBU business leaders are provided with current and accurate revenue, expense and headcount forecast information based on a variety of inputs.  As a Sr. Financial Analyst you will partner with sales, various controller’s groups (financial accounting) and leadership to obtain accurate source data to build and maintain a forecast.  This position will support both the Sales line of business, within the CGBU organization.


The finance team leads financial support and drives core financial processes, including: budgeting, planning, P&L management, headcount management, and forecasting.  Team members will model, analyze, consolidate, and summarize information.  Recommendations and insightful analysis will be delivered through regular connections and business reviews. This position will specifically support revenue forecasting and tracking for the sales organization, helping to accurately project top line results through close partnership with sales and a deep understanding of complex revenue treatment rules.

Team members will contribute individually and work closely with other finance team members including finance shared services and will also work with sales operations and sales business development.   Work is often non-routine and the business is fast changing.   Successful candidates will be comfortable working in a fast paced environment where they work independently and lead partners and other team members for results.  Excellent Excel skills required.  Five to Eight years relevant work experience. BS/BA in Accounting/Finance preferred.

Personal Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Finance, Planning & Analysis.  Sales Finance or Corporate Finance experience desirable
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance.  MBA highly desirable.
  • Very strong oral and written communication skills required
  • Oracle R12 experience a plus
  • Ability to juggle a multi-faceted job with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with business partners and stakeholders in order to accomplish team goals.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Financial support to business areas through financial analysis, budgeting, planning and forecasting; to facilitate decision making and future business strategies.

As a member of Oracle*s finance organization, you will be responsible for providing all aspects of financial support for planning and control. Assist in consolidation and reporting of financial results; preparation of annual budget. Gather, model, analyze, prepare, and summarize information for financial plans, operating forecasts, trended future specifications, etc.; on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis. Prepares recommendations based on analyzes. May perform revenue and expense analysis, headcount and headcount driven expense analysis at cost center level, tracking of product and product line revenue, reconciliation of accounts receivable, variance analysis and ad-hoc analysis as needed. You may participate in cross functional programs and projects.

Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Strong spreadsheet skill and proficiency in Oracle Financials. Strong written and oral communication skill. Ability to work under tight deadlines. Self starter able to prioritize given responsibilities. 5 years relevant work experience. BS/BA in Accounting/Finance preferred. CPA/MBA desired.
