According to a 2021 study by Wiley, 68% of respondents [employees age 18-24] said they have felt uncomfortable in a tech role because of “their gender/ethnicity/socio-economic background or neurodevelopmental condition.” At the same time, US companies are spending more than ever before, $8 billion per year to be exact, on diversity and inclusion efforts.
