Hi, Dig Nation,
My parents live in Fletcher, NC close to Bat Cave and Chimney Rock, and within 20 miles of this tragic photo of a longtime favorite family vacation spot, Lake Lure.
Like a million+ residents across the region, they are in total disbelief and shock at the absolute destruction left in the wake of Hurricane Helene. Hundreds of communities will never be the same – a hard fact that cannot be overstated – and the recovery will be very long and arduous.
Gratefully, and most importantly, their health is intact and their home was spared. Thousands of other folks were not so lucky. And this is why we rally around the ones we love, whether family, friends or strangers, and take action.
Here are a few ways to contribute to the relief effort. Do what you can today and down the line.
Love and thanks to everyone,
Stanfield
